Join us for our 2025-2026 McCook YMCA swim league, starting October 20th. We are excited to offer a quality swim program with expert coaches that are determined, nurturing, and positive. You can expect your child to grow relationships, have fun, compete, and enhance their swimming abilities.

Participant must be able to swim the length of the pool without assistance using proper strokes to be able to qualify for the team. Our qualified coaches will assist the participants in improving stroke form.

Y-USA rules and regulations state that the participant must be a YMCA member to participate in the YMCA swimming league. We do offer financial assistance and youth only memberships to assist in the cost of the membership.

SWIM TEAM PARENT MEETING OCT. 13TH AT 6PM! YMCA CONFERENCE ROOM!

We will be having a total of 3 practices a week. Due to construction all practices will be held off site until out pool is finished. Transportation will be available for our of town practices, space is limited for transportation.

McCook Christian Church (Dry Land)

Tuesdays 4-5pm

Gothenburg YMCA (in-water practice) -Monday & Thursday

Leaving YMCA – 5pm

Arrive in Gothenburg – 6:15pm

Practice – 6:30pm – 8:00pm

Leave Gothenburg – 8:15pm

Arrive at McCook YMCA – 9:30pm

Please have your child at the McCook YMCA 10min prior to leaving McCook. The van will leave right at 5pm. All children under the age of 8 being transported by the YMCA will have to be in a booster seat. You are welcome to drive your own child if you with, this will allow more availability for van space.

Practices will continue off site until the McCook YMCA pool is completed, the tentative completion date is Feb.

Participation in swimming meets is encouraged but not required. The cost of swim meets is included in the price of this program, apart from regionals and the state competition. To be eligible to participate in the state competition you must attend 3 regular season meets. Regionals is a timed-standard meet, and you must have qualified for the time in a regular season meet. Approximately two swimming meets will be available each month running through March 2026.
