PADI Discover Scuba Diving

Curious about scuba diving but not quite ready to commit to full certification? Discover Scuba Diving is the perfect way to dip your toes (and then your whole self!) into the underwater world. This fun, beginner-friendly experience lets you explore what it feels like to breathe underwater while learning the basics in a safe and supportive environment.

In a short amount of time, you’ll be introduced to scuba diving alongside a certified PADI instructor from Salty Crew Dive Adventure. You’ll learn how to use scuba gear, practice essential safety skills, and take your very first breaths underwater all in a controlled pool or aquatic setting.

What You’ll Experience

• Learn basic scuba skills and safety procedures
• Get hands-on experience with scuba equipment
• Practice skills like:
  • Equalizing your ears
  • Buddy checks
  • Basic buoyancy control
  • Underwater communication
• Enjoy a guided underwater experience in a pool or similar environment

• This course is non-refundable, unless cancellation is due to a medical disqualification.
• If a scheduling conflict arises, you may transfer to a different class date.i

PADI Open Water Certification Scuba Course

Experience the thrill of breathing underwater and discovering the beauty beneath the surface with our Full Certification Scuba Course through PADI, instructed by Salty Crew Dive Adventure. Whether you’ve always dreamed of exploring vibrant aquatic life or you’re ready to take on a new adventure, this course is your gateway to the incredible underwater world. From your very first breath underwater to your final open water dives, you’ll build confidence, skills, and a lifelong passion for scuba diving.

Course Overview

This is a four-phase certification course, with each phase purchased individually to help break up the training into manageable steps. All four phases must be successfully completed to receive your PADI scuba certification.

• Phase One(9am – 7pm with a lunch break):
  A full-day session that includes classroom instruction along with Pool Dives 1 & 2.
• Phase Two (9am – 4pm with a lunch break):
  Continue building your skills with Pool Dives 3, 4, & 5.
• Phase Three & Four (Open Water Dives):
  Your final steps toward certification! These dives will take place in either Hershey or Ogallala, where you’ll apply your skills in a real open water environment.
  Please note: Class times for open water dives are weather-dependent and times will be scheduled and communicated with participants the week of dive.

Important Participant Information

• A medical questionnaire is required prior to participation.
• If you answer “yes” to certain medical questions, a physician’s release form may be required before continuing.
• After registration, you will be scheduled to pick up your scuba diving packet.
• All coursework must be completed prior to your class date.
• Your instructor will be available during the classroom session to help answer any questions and ensure you feel confident and prepared.

• Mask, Fins, snorkel, and booties
